⁷ “You ^(A)called in trouble and I rescued you;
I ^(B)answered you in the hiding place of thunder;
I proved you at the ^(C)waters of Meribah. ^[a]Selah.
⁸ “^(D)Hear, O My people, and I will ^[b]admonish you;
O Israel, if you ^(E)would listen to Me!
⁹ “Let there be no ^(F)strange god among you;
Nor shall you worship any foreign god.
